Financial Analyst II position performs work for the Provider Finance Department under the supervision of the Manager of Fee Based Services. Performs highly complex (senior-level) financial analysis and regulatory work. Work involves compiling, reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending appropriate action to resolve financial and regulatory problems. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
The FA II contributes to a variety of internal reports, studies or other deliverables containing analyses of fee for service (FFS) and managed care organization (MCO) data relevant to the understanding of utilization and billing trends. Performs tasks with minimal supervision and with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Prepares presentations for professional organizations, governmental entities, and the public to be given by executive agency staff, including detailed speaking notes that allow for the communication of complex concepts and findings into understandable narrative for different audiences. Ensures compliance with established procedures, requirements, laws, and regulations; completeness of data; and presence of adequate documentation. Other duties as assigned.
