Job Summary:
As part of Ascot’s Actuarial Reserving business unit, the Associate Actuarial Data Analyst, Reserving will work on critical “run the business” core services such as data manipulation and querying, template creation, tool support, and coding. The Associate Data Analyst will be responsible for running and maintaining reports centered around Reserving analyses. They will also assist the actuarial team in building reports that highlight our Reserving findings, empower the team to work efficiently with large data sets, and where applicable leverage third party data. This role will work in the office on a hybrid (at least 3 times per week) work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Apply programming/engineering fundamental principles in building and testing data tools, systems and reporting solutions
- Assist in the creating of reports to highlight Reserving findings
- Clean, reconcile, and validate data from various internal systems to ensure accuracy
- Support reserving team by validating and analyzing data
- Collaborate with other functional areas to improve data quality and consistency
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing cult
