The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Product Support Engineering team is seeking an Associate Support Engineering Data Specialist (Technical Data Design) to support our F/A-18 Program in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Develops, analyzes, collects, and stores various system support technical data elements and specification to evaluate and make recommendations. Provides recommendations on product supportability and establishes operation maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for multiple equipment subsystems.
Researches, develops and revises technical publications, documentation, and related data. Analyzes customer requirements to understand scope and required elements. Reviewing technical support publications for technical accuracy, grammatical errors, format and style per guidelines.
Position Responsibilities
Analyzes complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures and instructions.
Collect, research and evaluate source data to develop hydro-mechanical component and system technical publications according to specifications.
Develop multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment minor systems or sub systems.
Collaborate with program management, engineering and other hydro-mech authors to accomplish tasks.
Participate in or lead in-person and virtual working group meetings.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years’ experience as indicated below w/Bachelor’s Degree, or 4+ years w/Associate’s Degree, or 10+ years with HS Degree and experience with aircraft maintenance and the following:
Hydro-Mech systems background experience.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance and special program access. (US Citizenship is required to obtain a DOD Security Clearance)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Associates degree or higher, or 5 years' related work experience.
4+ years’ experience with Hydro-Mech systems
F-18 Platform experience.
