Position Information:
BreakForth Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS and Web Application Business Analyst (BA) to join the AWS Cloud development effort of the team supporting our federal customer’s Chief Information Officer. The candidate should have experience with AWS Cloud and Modern Web Applications, and experience working in Federal IT organizations is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Work with the AWS/Web Application teams and stakeholders to gather and prioritize business and user requirements against the clear objectives articulated for the AWS development project(s).
- Write, evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes.
- Develop and update “As-Is” and “To-Be” documentation and other requirements documentation.
- Execute Business Process Modelling (BPM).
- Execute Brainstorming and context diagramming with technical team members, system users, and other stakeholders.
- Work with developers and testers to write use cases.
- Facilitate working sessions with the technical team and/or stakeholders to understand gaps and requirements.
- Apply analytical techniques to gather information from users, define work problems, and design technology solutions.
- Create and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with business goals and customer needs
- Monitor and analyze product performance, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions
- Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and issues
- Ability to support Agile scrum activities as a secondary scrum master as required.
Education/Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation.
- A combination of relevant education and professional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
