Position Summary:

This onsite (Dallas, TX) role of Business Intelligence Developer is a key member of the technology team and serves as the Company’s Internal Snowflake, SQL and Tableau developer.  This role will support technology and business intelligence initiatives to deliver optimal returns on investment in coordination with the organization’s goals and core values with a focus on a “customer service” orientation.

Areas of responsibility include data management, development, database design, end user reporting and analytics needs as well as project prioritization and management.  

The role is located in the Dallas TX area and this role requires the ability to be present in the office at least three days per week.

Key objectives:

  • Support the Technology and Business Intelligence teams through data integration, storage, reporting, analytics, monitoring and compliance phases
  • Contribute to information strategy for customer, finance, marketing and other key data areas
  • Build and maintain Franchisee relationships; Earn respect of franchisees and cultivate strong relationships; navigate challenging situations with professionalism and confidence
  • Offer creative and practical solutions; Utilize creativity and innovation in problem solving and applying appropriate methodologies relevant to the complexity of the challenge
  • Understand future opportunities; Closely monitor changes with data technologies and identify ways the company can improve and implement plans to achieve these objectives

Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Serve as the thought leader, business partner and team mentor for the full data & analytics lifecycle
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to gain a competitive advantage
  • Develop and execute the business intelligence strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage BI team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members
  • Own BI‐related budgeting, planning and procurement, including developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives
  • Oversee data integration processes, ensuring the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources to maintain a reliable data infrastructure
  • Ensure data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and maintain data integrity while optimizing priorities, delivery speed and related value-based spend
  • Ensure that data and analytics practices comply with relevant data protection and privacy regulations and security standards and protocols
  • Own and drive support processes around data / BI platforms, with an eye towards continuous improvement

Education/Certifications and Work Experience Requirement

  • 5+ years of experience in BI/Analytics at growth companies with a proven track record
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align BI initiatives with business objectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a focus on understanding and communicating the company’s core business
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, QlikView, QuickSight or similar platforms
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Experience in data visualization, statistical analysis and data reconfiguration
  • Knowledge of relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data security best practices
  • Track-record of contributing to highly effective BI teams with a customer service and partnering mindset
  • Experience building & maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across departments
  • Depth of experience implementing suitable technology for efficient data loading, governance and reporting capabilities required
  • Experience in a metrics-driven company (especially Private Equity owned) is ideal
