Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and deploy dashboards, reports, and self-service BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) that provide stakeholders with timely, reliable insights.
- Partner with business users to translate requirements into KPIs, metrics, and data models, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data solutions.
- Design and implement semantic data models (dimensional schemas, star/snowflake) to support scalability, extensibility, and data storytelling.
- Perform data profiling, validation, and exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, discrepancies, and business opportunities.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and data-driven decision-making, preparing datasets, creating visualizations, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor report usage and performance, optimizing for query speed, efficiency, and usability.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance practices are embedded across BI workflows.
- Contribute to documentation, training, and user enablement, helping non-technical stakeholders interpret dashboards and leverage insights effectively.
- Stay current with emerging BI and data analysis tools and contribute to Verndale’s growing Data & AI practice.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or related role, with proven delivery of reporting and analytics solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases and large datasets. • Hands-on experience with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and strong data visualization skills that translate complex data into clear, impactful insights.
