Your mission:

Business Analysts are facilitators who bridge the gap between business and technology, they help inform decisions and deliver value by researching and understanding a business domain, eliciting & documenting needs, requirements & processes, defining & validating solutions, and supporting the implementation. BAs work at a strategy level but also have a comprehensive approach when exploring the inner workings of a process or system.

Your Role & Main Responsibilities

Be a contributor to Strategy and Delivery

  • Establish and nurture relationships of trust with stakeholders;
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, effectively conduct research, ask the right questions and understand the needs and goals of initiatives;
  • Research, analyze, document and understand existing business processes and rules underlying current customer experiences;
  • Identify, prioritize and present the pain points and opportunities within current processes;
  • Collaborate with data analysts to perform quantitative analyses to confirm identified issues, explore new business opportunities;
  • Participate in the definition of key performance indicators for initiatives;
  • Work closely with different areas of expertise (UX, SA, PO) to define the future state and prioritize needs;
  • Document future state process flows and ensure designs align with business needs;
  • Translate high level requirements into detailed level requirements for consumption by development teams;
  • Define and deliver use cases, solution requirements (functional and non-functional), associated business rules, data migration rules and acceptance criteria;
  • Prepare and conduct user-acceptance testing;
  • Ensure that the business context, needs & requirements, the proposed solutions and the impacts are well defined and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Be an active member of the Business Analysis Practice
  • Apply best practices in methodology and analysis when conducting research and process mapping;
  • Participate actively in the dynamic and improvement projects of the BA team;
  • Collaborate with your peers to maintain a level of consistency across products and processes, contributing to the growth of the team’s best practices, tools and processes;
  • Participate in and lead various knowledge-sharing activities;
  • Contribute to the collaborative and stimulating work environment;
  • Be a change agent & Agile mindset promoter;
  • Stay connected to the industry to be aware of new trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering;
  • At least five years of relevant experience in business analysis or a related field;
  • Solid understanding of business process redesign concepts and process improvement techniques;
  • Skills in research, requirement elicitation, analysis, synthesis, process mapping and documentation;
  • Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills;
  • Proven experience in agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFE);
  • Proficiency with tools for process mapping (Lucidchart, Visio), and product development (Azure DevOps, Jira);
  • Ability to understand, collaborate and communicate effectively with other teams and project stakeholders;
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • At ease in a fast-paced & changing environment with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain good relationships with cross-functional stakeholders;
  • Experience within aviation training or other aviation industries an asset.
