Reporting directly to the Director, Enterprise Security Systems, the successful incumbent is responsible and accountable for providing direction, leadership and organization over the activities of the Enterprise Security Systems Unit in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services and the Protective Services department.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting security surveys and risk assessment of AHS facilities. Establishing best practices to govern all incoming requests for service. Providing advice and education on physical security standards to AHS stakeholders. Leading AHS development and redevelopment project meetings to ensure AHS Protective Services Physical Security guidelines are in compliance. Assisting in the research of best practices in the physical security industry. A Process Excellence Leader ensuring Key Performance Indicators and Department Metrics are developed and met.

Required Qualifications: Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience.
Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum 4 years' experience in Physical Security Technologies such as CCTV, Card Access and Alarm Integration at an Enterprise Level required, preferably in healthcare considered an asset.
