What You'll do:
Groundswell is hiring a Business Analyst to support an Agile software development team serving the Department of Transportation. This role will work with customers, product owners, developers, testers, support teams, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. The Business Analyst will translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories, support implementation and testing, manage scope and change requests, and help resolve issues throughout delivery.
The team supports application development, enhancements, implementation, and user support. One of its major efforts is the transition from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace, which the Business Analyst will support along with other assigned initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Elicit, gather, analyze, and document customer requirements and user stories.
Produce high-quality, detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable requirements documentation, including process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria, and related analysis artifacts.
Coordinate peer reviews of customer requirements and user stories.
Validate requirements and user stories with customers and other appropriate stakeholders.
Obtain customer sign-off or documented agreement on requirements and user stories.
Analyze and process change requests, including evaluating impacts to requirements, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
Maintain requirements traceability throughout implementation using a requirements traceability matrix or similar tool.
Monitor and help manage project scope by identifying potential scope changes, gaps, and risks.
Provide guidance to stakeholders on effective and efficient approaches for achieving project objectives.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, technical teams, support teams, and subject matter experts to refine requirements and resolve questions or conflicts.
