Peraton is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Herndon, VA with some remote work possible. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT). This initiative will modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework to better support the services provided to CA’s customers.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills with customer-facing experience and expertise in running demos, documentation and data analysis. Your ability to articulate, coordinate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, gather and analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations will be key to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support all project phases from inception through completion.
- Work with the customer to capture and translate high level functional, technical, and performance requirements into detailed acceptance criteria for epics / user stories in an Agile delivery environment.
- Document business value and technical requirements for data-related projects.
- Collaborate with developers, UX designers and testers to ensure that they understand the functional requirements.
- Provide business area and technical guidance to management and stakeholders to facilitate planning, set direction, define business initiatives, and develop solutions to business information systems needs and requirements.
- Be able to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and work independently with little oversight.
- Participate in the Agile delivery meetings and collaborate with the Agile team(s) and other program staff as required.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal communication coupled with strong listening skills.
