Overview: The Business Analyst plays a key role within the project management life cycle, acting as the liaison between IT and business lines. This position supports the delivery of technology initiatives that enable the credit union to operate efficiently, securely, and with a strong member focus. This role bridges business needs and technical capabilities by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, supporting project execution, and ensuring alignment with IT and PMO standards, governance, and strategy. Business Analyst helps drive clarity, consistency, and successful solution delivery across the credit union.
Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Partner closely with PMO and business units on organizational projects to analyze operational needs, regulatory requirements, workflow bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Document clear and complete business requirements, functional specifications, technical requirements, process diagrams, and user stories.
- Facilitate structured discovery sessions with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical specialists.
- Support the development of business requirements, technical feasibility reviews, and solution assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects follow IT standards, SDLC processes, PMO governance, and security / change management protocols.
- Maintain IT documentation, templates, and process guides.
- Map and analyze current‑state and future‑state processes across operational, digital, and back‑office systems.
