Business Analyst III — Capital Programs Evansville, IN | On-Site | 1099 Contract | $48–$52/hour Ready to help drive strategic capital investments for a leading energy and utility organization? ElevationHR is recruiting on behalf of a leading energy and utility organization seeking an experienced Business Analyst III – Capital Programs to support critical capital investment initiatives. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside Engineering, Field Operations, Accounting, and Regulatory teams to help plan, forecast, analyze, and report on large-scale infrastructure investments that directly impact business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong financial analysis, Microsoft Excel, and capital planning experience who enjoy partnering with cross-functional business teams and supporting strategic decision-making. What You'll Do Collect, maintain, and analyze data supporting capital projects and portfolio performance. Support capital budget development, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Evaluate year-to-date financial performance against budgets and historical results. Develop and maintain performance benchmarks, scorecards, and management reports. Support infrastructure filings, regulatory reporting, and agency data requests. Analyze cost structures and evaluate the financial impact of project scope and sourcing decisions. Utilize enterprise financial systems to monitor and report capital investment performance Collaborate with Engineering, Field Operations, Accounting, Regulatory, and other business stakeholders. Perform analysis and reporting with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities. What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5–7 years of relevant professional experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong financial analysis and reporting experience. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to business analysis. Experience analyzing business trends, revenues, expenses, budgets, and forecasts. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Eligible for potential conversion to a direct-hire position. Preferred SAP or comparable enterprise financial system experience. Capital budgeting or capital program experience. Financial forecasting and performance reporting. Capital project or portfolio tracking experience. Utility, energy, infrastructure, or other regulated industry experience. Experience supporting regulatory filings, rate cases, or regulatory data requests. Experience developing scorecards, benchmarks, or operational performance reports.
