DescriptionIdaho National Laboratory is hiring a Business Analyst/Process Improvement Specialist to work on our team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.

This role blends business analysis, process improvement, and product ownership to support a broad range of initiatives across the Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality directorate. You'll work alongside experienced analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, streamline processes, and help deliver technology products that make a real difference.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements through interviews, surveys, workshops, and observation.
- Translates stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements for development and project teams.
Creates process models, use cases, workflow diagrams, and requirements specifications using standard templates.
- Identifies gaps between current business processes and desired outcomes.
Supports value stream mapping and process documentation efforts to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Analyzes current-state workflows and develop recommendations for future-state processes.
Develops and maintain standard operating procedures, job aids, and training materials related to process changes.
- Writes clear, well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Supports sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective activities within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and priorities.
- Builds and maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders and IT partners.
Supports project managers with documentation, meeting facilitation, and status tracking as needed.

Level 1: Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
