Our team is looking for a passionate and skilled Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to work closely with product, science, and cross-functional teams to develop robust end-to-end BI solutions. These solutions will support business reviews, model evaluations, product launches, and provide in-depth analysis to address key strategic questions.

The Shopping Convo Foundations org is building core foundational capabilities to train and optimize large language models. We create tools and infrastructure to measure, evaluate, and enhance high-quality language model experiences like Rufus. Our efforts aim to improve the performance and capabilities of these advanced language models. Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers, Scientists, and Engineers to design, define, and own key business metrics that monitor and evaluate project performance.
Partner with Data Engineers to design and develop core datasets, ensuring efficient and scalable data structures to support business needs.
Develop, maintain, and optimize ongoing data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow for analysis and reporting.
Actively participate in business review meetings, providing data-driven insights, addressing leadership questions, and conducting follow-up analysis as needed.
Perform in-depth analysis to identify root causes of business problems, offering actionable insights to drive improvements.
Build and enhance self-service BI tools to empower teams across the organization to access, visualize, and interpret data independently.
Ensure data quality and integrity across all datasets and reporting, implementing best practices for data governance.

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
