We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data models, data governance frameworks, and interactive dashboards and visualizations to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and provide self-service analytics and reporting capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
β€’ Develop and maintain data models and schemas for Page0 data, entitlement model data, propensity model data, and other relevant data sources.
β€’ Contribute to the design and implementation of a centralized data warehouse architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
β€’ Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure alignment between data models and the underlying data infrastructure.
β€’ Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity for Page0 data, entitlement model data, and propensity model data.
β€’ Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
β€’ Continuously monitor data quality, identify issues, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement remediation measures as needed.
β€’ Build interactive dashboards and visualizations to present key metrics and insights for Page0, entitlement models, and propensity models.
β€’ Develop self-service analytics and reporting capabilities, enabling users to explore and analyze data independently.
β€’ Collaborate with business users to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into effective visualizations and reports.
β€’ Conduct enterprise-wide data discovery and profiling to identify potential data sources and understand their characteristics.
β€’ Analyze data sources for relevance, quality, and potential integration into the BI ecosystem.
β€’ Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation for Page0 data, analytics, and reporting tools.
β€’ Provide training and support to business users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of BI solutions.
β€’ Continuously monitor data quality and optimize data flows to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.
β€’ Stay up-to-date with emerging BI technologies, tools, and best practices, and propose enhancements or new solutions to improve the organization's BI capabilities.

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- Experience writing complex SQL queries

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
