Clinical Data Analyst, Quality Management

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for both the collection and analysis of specific data elements from medical record documentation for use in performance improvement, peer review, risk management, infection control, and other improvement efforts within the facility. This position will report to the Quality Manager and will work with process improvement teams, quality management, case management, risk management, infection control, and other departments to identify problem areas and help work to facilitate needed changes.

Responsibilities

Performs clinical data abstraction based on defined patient populations and analyzes data using appropriate analytical or statistical techniques.
Communicates data to appropriate entities/committees/departments.
Performs clinical data abstraction based upon project-specific work.
Ensures the quality, integrity, and appropriateness of data collection techniques and of data used for analyses.
Participates collaboratively and effectively with administrative, nursing, medical, ancillary, and support personnel in process improvement teams at all levels of the organization.
Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Demonstrates high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.
Thrives working independently and takes ownership of projects.
Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
