Serco supports the Navy as prime for their Amphibious Assault & Connectors program. Located in the heart of the Boston’s Seaport District, the Landing Craft Planning Yard team supports the Landing Craft Division in the maintenance of the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), the planning and maintenance of the new Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) and the configuration and engineering management of the new Landing Craft, Utility (LCU) 1700.
In this role, you will support the Navy Landing Craft Configuration Status Manager (CSM) as the CSM Support Team Lead in maintaining relevant CSM databases ensuring historical accuracy of the craft configuration.
You will be part of and leading a stellar four to five-person CDM team that works closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the fleet.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance upon employment.
In this role you will:
• Provide program support to Configuration Status Manager (CSM) for the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC), Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC), and LCU 1700 (Landing Craft, Utility) programs.
• Assist with the establishment and accuracy of Model-Based Product Support (MPBS) configuration and logistic data records for LCAC, SSC, and LCU 1700 craft class.
• Ensure the accuracy of and execute CSM support applications.
• Review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) submitted by SSC builder; conduct data validation, analysis, and conversion for submittal to MBPS.
• Process workfiles received in MBPS.
• Run various configuration reports confirming accuracy and ensuring correct downloads from databases.
• Participate in Integrated Logistics Support Meetings (ILSMTs) and Contractor-Government meetings as SSC/LCU 1700 CSM Support Representative.
• Prepare reports and PowerPoint slides for Government customer.
• Update/maintain procedures for CSM support.
• Travel to shipyards to participate in craft Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), prepare audit materials, and update MBPS with validation findings.
• Mentor and train junior CSM team members.
• Review work of CSM team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
