JOB SUMMARY:Β 


Responsible for complex duties involving compiling, developing, posting, analyzing, and reporting financial information for the Medical Center in a Corporate Financial Department.Β 


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Β 


Bachelor's degree, preferably accounting or finance related and three years' progressive work experience in financial analysis or accounting; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.Β 


Master's degree preferred.Β 


Healthcare experience preferred.Β 


LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:Β 


CPA or CFP certificate preferred.Β 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Β 


1. Supervises, coordinates and participates in the preparation of routine consolidated financial statements, management monthly financial statement analysis reports and other various financial reports and analyses sent directly to senior leadership and external agencies.Β 


2. Responsible for the monthly closing activities, including the posting of journal entries and reconciliation of routine general ledger accounts.Β 


3. Gathers, compiles, and prepares information for routine financial reports, analyses, and graphs for use by Medical Center management.Β 


4. Participates in business/financial/operational plan development and analysis. Participates in meetings providing input as appropriate.Β 


5. Assists senior staff with projects and presentations of routine financial information.Β 


6. Maintains effective liaison with internal departments, Medical Center/NCBH/WFUHS/Subsidiaries, external auditors, etc. for the purpose of identifying, assembling and analyzing financial information.Β 


7. May perform lead role in coordinating routine projects by overseeing the work of others.Β 


8. Understands industry trends, networks with colleagues at other institutions, and evaluates the impact of operating initiatives on the financial status of the Medical Center.Β 


9. Participates in the mentoring of accounting staff and others throughout the organization in the use of routine accounting reports and tools to assist in the management of the organization.Β 


10. Researches and documents position memos on routine technical accounting issues.Β 


11. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Β
