The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret data collected by RIPHI to support population health, clinical, operational, and business decision-making. This role works with large datasets, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to identify trends, develop reports and dashboards, and provide insights that improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Collect, clean, validate, and analyze healthcare data from EHRs, claims, financial systems, and other data sources Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators Conduct analyses of EHR data and work with the Chief Programs and Research Officer to interpret clinical and research data Prepare reports, manuscripts and project-related technical writing Collaborate with RIPHI leaders to understand project objectives and to identify relevant data metrics Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA Perform analysis to support quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning Support all of RIPHI’s research and service programs related to population health Work with RIPHI’s executive team to manage population health data and produce population health reports. This includes working with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Programs & Research Officer and others. Create and implement policies for effective data management and governance Formulate techniques for quality data collection, maintenance, and sharing Ensure accuracy and quality of data across the organization Oversee data software and data management including DataView, AthenaHealth, and REDCap among others Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with external stakeholders Contribute to data entry and data cleaning Support and train others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards Build and assist with reports and data extraction for grant reports and submissions, presentations, quality assurance and other deliverables Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.) Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications Requirements: Education & Experience BS/BA in data analytics, computer science, health and data systems, biostatistics or another relevant field 3-5 years of experience preferably within the healthcare industry Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred Knowledge of research and health data systems Knowledge & Skills Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions Familiarity with database and information system technologies Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
