Position Overview:
ERIS has an immediate opportunity for a Data Analyst to support the collection, loading, maintenance, and updating of the organization's databases. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility across multiple data sources. This is a contract hybrid position at our Toronto office, working 35 hours per week. The annual compensation range is $41,000 - $46,000.
Specific Responsibilities and Daily Tasks (not limited to):
- Research, collect, and download environmental risk data from regulatory agencies, remediation programs, and other sources.
- Write SQL queries to verify data completeness, accuracy, and integrity.
- Develop and execute SQL ETL scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various source formats into Oracle databases.
- Perform data compilation, conversion, cleansing, validation, and string manipulation activities.
- Analyze and structure data, including determining appropriate table normalization and data models.
- Conduct address cleaning, geocoding, and coordinate conversion using proprietary tools.
- Monitor and maintain data quality standards across multiple datasets.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies.
- Assist with environmental risk data projects and other data-related initiatives as required.
- Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, providing regular project and status updates.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to data acquisition, processing, and quality assurance.
