CAP is seeking a full-time, remote Data Analyst to support our data-driven initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you will help maintain data integrity, assist with analytical insights, and support product development. Data is the foundation of everything we do, and maintaining the accuracy of our datasets is essential to CAP's long-term success. Key Responsibilities Data Integrity & Quality Update, maintain, and QA CAP's key data sets, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Support ongoing analysis and validation of net cost projections. Carefully enter and update data across large datasets without introducing errors. Flag areas for improvement in existing data processes and help implement enhancements. Product & Algorithm Support Assist with QA of platform enhancements and adjustments to our projection algorithms. Help build and maintain automation workflows using tools like Zapier, Google Apps Script, Python, or AI-based tools (e.g., Claude) - turning manual, repetitive processes into repeatable steps. Work with the product and engineering teams to support data workflows and ensure data integrates cleanly into CAP's platform. Collaboration & Research Support the Customer Success team by researching and resolving data-related inquiries. Navigate school and scholarship websites/portals to track, verify, and update data on an ongoing basis. Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to support CAP's leadership team. Manage multiple ongoing workstreams and deadlines simultaneously, keeping projects organized and on track. Minimum Qualifications Strong spreadsheet proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements) and conditional formatting for managing large datasets. Careful, detail-oriented approach to data entry and data updates. Demonstrated ability using AI tools (like Claude) not just as a chatbot, but as a partner for building processes and automation workflows. An automation mindset - the ability to break a manual process down into steps that could be automated, even without deep coding knowledge. Strong web research skills, including navigating websites and portals to find and verify information. Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills. Passion for CAP's mission to transform the college funding landscape. Preferred Skills & Attributes Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Understanding of how different datasets relate
