Help protect the Boise River through the power of data. The City of Boise's Public Works Department is seeking an experienced
Data Analyst III
to transform complex environmental, operational and laboratory data into insights that support cleaner water, smarter infrastructure and a healthier community.
This role is ideal for a technically strong analyst who is motivated by public service and environmental impact. The Data Analyst III works with large and varied data sets from Public Works and water renewal operations, including lab and monitoring data related to water quality, phosphorus, temperature and other factors that help the department understand and protect river health. By building data models, developing reports and dashboards, analyzing trends and translating findings into practical recommendations, this position helps leaders make informed decisions that affect Boise’s natural resources and long-term sustainability.
The successful candidate will bring current, hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI or Tableau, data modeling, visualization and complex analysis. Just as important, they will bring curiosity, care and a community-minded approach to the work. Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
Bachelor’s degree in business, probability and statistics, mathematics, communications or a related field
Four years of experience documenting and analyzing business processes, or
An equivalent level of professional experience.
