Data Analyst (SQL)
Compensation Range: $60,000 - $70,000
The Mortgage Business Intelligence & Analytics team oversees all activities and functions involved with the company’s Business Intelligence platform, giving mortgage company business leaders access to reliable, actionable data to better manage and understand the business and drive company growth.
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support compliance, finance, and other streamlining initiatives. This role will focus on extracting, validating, and monitoring loan-level data to respond to state audit requests and regulatory reporting requirements, including the Mortgage Call Report (MCR). They will also lead efforts to streamline manual processes, by utilizing centralized data warehouse sources and tools to reduce/eliminate manual efforts. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in SQL, comfortable working with complex datasets, and able to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data used for critical regulatory reporting. The Data Analyst will also contribute to the documentation, development, and maintenance of our reports, and assist in monitoring and auditing the accuracy of our reporting data.
What you will be doing:
Regulatory & Audit Data Support (40%)
- Respond to state audit requests by extracting and validating loan-level data
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data used for regulatory reporting, including MCR submissions
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to understand reporting requirements and timelines
Data Quality & Validation (25%)- Perform ongoing validation of primary and derived tables to ensure data integrity
- Update views and stored procedures as needed to capture new/updated regulatory requests
- Work with pertinent business units to obtain and validate regulatory submission data
- Maintain exception reporting to proactively identify and address data issues
Streamlining & Automation (20%)- Lead efforts to automate financial transaction entries using SQL and Power Automate platforms
- Identify opportunities for streamlining manual processes across various business units
