Holliston High School is looking for a dynamic individual to help cultivate a welcoming environment for all who enter HHS. It is essential that all members of high school staff build rapport with students, parents, and families so they understand that we truly care about them and want to support their success. We are looking for a Data Specialist who continually improves their skills by seeking out constructive feedback and professional development opportunities and who loves working with and empowering students. This is a full-time, 12 month position.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Associate's Degree
- Excellent secretarial and technological skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with others in a demanding environment
- Ability to organize time and resources to complete multiple tasks daily
- Experience working with PowerSchool would be beneficial
- Excel and database experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain good public relations with the community, pupils and school personnel
- Assure professionalism at all times in our school
- Provide support to guidance personnel
- Oversee and manage the student database
- As needed, facilitate safe and smooth operation of the school.
- Organize, coordinate, anticipate and meet deadlines and calendar events.
- Obtain, gather and organize pertinent data as needed.
- Assure accuracy, quality and timeliness of the database.
- Ensure that all communication is delivered to an Administrator as soon as possible, but no later than the close of each day.
- Manage the completion of large long-term projects that may require the assistance of other staff
- Ensure confidentiality of issues and correspondence of a confidential and/or sensitive nature
- Gather, enter, and report on data for attendance, report cards, placement, scheduling, etc.
- Gather and design report of student information as required by DOE, the district, and the local school.
- Act as backup to the Administrative Secretary
- Perform duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by the building Principal
Public School employees of Massachusetts are required to submit their fingerprints to a National Criminal Database check. In addition to the national background check, a satisfactory Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (CORI) is required.
