πŸš€ About the role

    • Senior Data visualization engineer with end-to-end frontend integration and implementation ability
    • Help define Nominal's data visualization strategy and API
    • Evaluate preexisting work for integration such as Cesium, Regl, Plotly.js, Deck.gl, and Vega
    • Generally own the end-user data visualization UX - ensuring that it's both best-in-class and continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible

πŸ” We're looking for someone with

    • Experience with end-to-end frontend integration/implementation ability
    • Experience and opinionated knowledge of data visualization serialization APIs, such as Vega or Plotly
    • Ability to create new 2D and 3D data visualization libraries from scratch, using lower-level WebGL (Regl) or SVG (D3) libraries
    • Experience creating or contributing to open-source data viz or graphics projects

    • Interesting data visualization or numerical frontend portfolio on Observable, GitHub, or elsewhere
    • Demonstrated combination of numerical methods and frontend (JavaScript/Typescript) abilities
    • Interest in cutting-edge Web tech - WebGPU, WASM, etc.

$100,000 - $180,000 a year
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in all offers and are considered part of Nominal’s total compensation package.
