About the role
The Business Analyst supports requirements intake, analysis, and refinement for customer digital application and web platform initiatives. This role works closely with government stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate needs into actionable requirements, manage Agile workflows within Azure DevOps, support post deployment validation, and ensure technical solutions align with customer mission and strategic direction.
What you'll do
Manage the intake of new requirements via
customer
ITSM processes and Azure DevOps request channels.
Conduct stakeholder discussions to clarify needs,
identify
solution approaches, and document business and functional requirements.
Translate stakeholder inputs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and
sprintready
backlog items.
Facilitate LOE estimation sessions with development teams using story points or equivalent Agile metrics.
Maintain and refine the product backlog to support sprint prioritization, sequencing, and capacity alignment.
Track sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and issues using Azure DevOps Boards.
Support
post deployment
testing by validating delivered functionality,
confirming acceptance criteria, documenting issues, and coordinating remediation.
Support Change
Control Board (CCB) procedures by drafting change requests, capturing impacts, and tracking approvals.
Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, risks, issues, and follow-up actions.
Assist
the government with assessing solution feasibility and
identifying
process or system improvement opportunities.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and status updates for government leadership.
