ISO New EnglandΒ is the not-for-profit, independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy.

We have an important role to play in securing the region’s clean and reliable energy future and seek folks from a variety of disciplines to join us!

How you will make an impact:

In this role, you will assist grid operators and planners to better understand these new risks associated with the evolving grid, both in real time and planning for the future.
  • Additionally, energy reliability assessments are becoming a larger share of the work being done by ISO New England. The analysis of energy availability is currently being performed on a regular basis to determine if conditions are favorable for the near-term horizon (i.e., next 21 days) and seasonally (e.g., upcoming summer or winter). The analysts will contribute by performing and improving the existing assessments, reporting mechanisms, and recommendations for actions when unfavorable conditions are detected.Β
