Bennett Thrasher, consistently recognized as one of Inside Public Accounting’s “Best of the Best Firms”, is looking for a financial analyst to support the firm’s internal accounting and FP&A operations. In this newly created role, you will work directly with the controller and director of finance on a variety of accounting and FP&A functions and initiatives.

Some Responsibilities Include:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting packages.
- Maintain accuracy of general ledger.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Assist in analyzing actual vs. budget performance and developing insightful commentary to drive decision making.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.
- Assist in Ad-hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance controls.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather financial inputs and insights.
- Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and reporting enhancements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Prior exposure to or interest in FP&A activities including financial modeling, or business analytics.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or working towards becoming licensed.
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with financial dashboards or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights).
