NATURE AND SCOPE:
The Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Manager and serves as a strategic business partner to operational leaders across the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. This position supports financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, grant compliance, cash flow forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) management. The analyst will evaluate financial and operational performance, identify opportunities to improve margins and efficiency, and provide actionable recommendations that support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
Partner with operational leaders to develop annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
Support P&L management by monitoring revenue, expenses, margins, and key performance indicators across assigned business units and programs.
Develop cash flow forecasts and liquidity analyses to support organizational decision-making and financial planning.
Analyze financial and operational trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Create meaningful financial reporting packages and dashboards for leadership.
Support grant compliance activities by monitoring grant requirements, maintaining documentation, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with funding restrictions and organizational policies.
Partner with Accounting
