Job Summary:
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll be a trusted advisor and key player in shaping financial strategy. Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, you’ll take ownership of complex accounting tasks—like reconciliations, reporting, and budget preparation—while providing insights that drive smart decisions. This role is perfect for someone who loves problem-solving, process improvement, and making an impact across the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage monthly financial close and ensure accurate general ledger and financial statements.
Review and analyze unit financial health, including cash flow, fund balances, and budget performance.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Prepare and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Lead financial reporting and audits, including annual schedules, government filings, and charity returns.
Analyze budget variances and forecasts, collaborating with partners to recommend corrective actions.
Prepare multi-year forecasts and financial reports, supporting strategic planning and decision-making.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on policies, compliance, and accounting best practices.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting.
Enrollment in a CPA program PEP.
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience (AP/AR/GL).
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
