The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and enhancing business results within the Industrial and Specialty Products Business Unit (ISP). This role will have direct interaction with various stakeholders throughout the organization. The financial analyst will use complex analytics, dashboards, and problem solving to influence and guide the organization in the appropriate direction.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Β 



  • Provide an objective, data-driven analysis of product and segment level profitability.

  • Construct financial models to address various situations and proposed actions (fluctuating commercial demand, customer contracts, etc.)

  • Coordinate monthly financial forecasting for the ISP business ($550+ million annual revenue).

  • Aid in the development of dashboards using Power Bi or other visualization software.

  • Provide financial support to both the operations and supply chain teams.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the ISP business.

  • Additional duties as assigned.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:



  • Bachelor's Degree

    • Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or Related Field.



  • 1-3 years of experience in a finance role

  • Comprehensive ability to use data to identify profit drivers and knowledgeably speak to the state of the business

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple deliverables across various stakeholders

  • Team Player – operates cohesively as a member of the FP&A team, including other personnel as needed; actively informs upwards, downwards, and sideways

  • Communication – Can clearly and concisely express concepts both in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization

  • Organization – Strong skills required including the ability to coordinate the work and information gained from all resources; must possess the ability to handle several different projects or requests with a plan and structure, while keeping them as individual requirements

  • Continuous Improvement – Display a healthy discontent with status quo; gather information from various sources to perform multiple layers of data mining, to identify the area for improvement, and to generate options for solutions; demonstrates sound judgment in choosing a course of action

  • Creativity – Ability to develop new and unique approaches to new, existing, or traditional situations

  • Comprehension – Ability to understand knock on impacts of decisions and policy changes

  • Independent self-starter who can create own work plan and priorities without direct supervision; proactively accomplish tasks and communicate, not only react to requests

  • Demonstrate the highest ethical standards

  • Experience with Power BI

  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to create financial models and complex spreadsheets quickly and without errors


PREFERRED SKILLS:Β 



  • Experience in a data mining tool such as Power Query or Power BI.

  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and creating data connections and processes to apply this data
    (JD Edwards a plus).


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Up to 25%.
