DescriptionJob Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for various finance functions, notably working closely with the accountant, managing vendor invoices and payment, monitoring and reconciling bank account activity, and assisting in the monthly financial close process. In addition, a Financial Analyst is expected to support other departments with researching and responding to customer and agent questions. The finance team is looking for someone who is detail oriented and eager to learn how the day-to-day operations of Bamboo are integrated into the Company’s financial performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains financial reporting and non-financial (Business KPI) reporting
- Works with the data warehouse to find and bring forward data (SQL experience preferred)
- Report building in BI tools (Tableau, Pyramid, PowerBI, etc…) and Microsoft Excel
- Provides support for all internal stakeholders of the business within the Bamboo organization
- Performs other related ad-hoc duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the 3 financial statements and accounting differences
- Advanced-Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish rapport, credibility, trust, and positive relationships with all departments
- Proficient in effectively planning and prioritizing work activities
- Ability to work with technology platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Excel experience preferred
- Understanding of insurance products, policies, and services
- Excellent customer service skills
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in an analyst (or related) role
- 1+ years’ experience in property and casualty insurance
