Financial Analyst

Position Summary
General Shale, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of brick, masonry siding, and outdoor hardscape products, is seeking a Financial Analyst for our corporate office in Johnson City, TN.
The Financial Analyst position is within the Planning and Analysis department and will be working closely with Accounting, Sales and Production management, and other departments to transform analysis for the company. This role leads efforts to strengthen data-driven decision-making and optimize General Shale’s sales and profitability by evaluating manufacturing plants, customers, channels, and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive-level presentations in PowerPoint to provide the current state and business proposals for key organizational decisions
- Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reporting and analytics for sales, cost, and margins
- Prepare and present monthly sales performance reports to sales teams and management
- Monitor KPI's and work with business partners to ensure projects and objectives are on track
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and build business models with Sales leadership to support new and existing opportunities and profitability improvements
- Support forecast and budget development in collaboration with sites and management
- Utilize various financial and reporting software (SAC, SAP, etc.)
- Proactively suggest ways to optimize ERP and other software platforms for continuous improvement, working with the IT organization, including data categorizations, reporting capabilities, and business guidance
- Monitor and review existing processes and procedures in various areas to improve productivity and efficiencies
- Take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves
Education:
Bachelors preferred with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, and/or Business.

- At least five years of financial analysis experience required and/or equivalent education
