How you'll contribute
A Financial Analyst who excels in this role:
- Assists in maintaining the General Ledger and supporting journals, as well as performing balance sheet reconciliations necessary to ensure proper accounting controls for the hospital and affiliated entities.
- Works independently while managing priorities effectively.
- Analyzes financial data to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Maintains various financial schedules and performs account analyses.
- Analyzes and reconciles account discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Prepares hospital financial statements and completes balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconciles all bank accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitors physician contracts to ensure compliance with applicable agreements and requirements.
- Prepares the daily cash report for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Coordinates the annual Community Benefit submission.
- Assists with interim and year-end audits.
- Assists with the preparation and filing of the annual cost report.
- Maintains positive and effective working relationships with internal and external auditors.
- Partners with department managers to help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
What we’re looking for
Education:
- B.S. in Accounting or Associate’s Degree in Accounting with 3 years of related experience required.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Excel and Word required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work normal business hours and overtime as needed
- Familiarity with organization and functions of each hospital department
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and handle stress in a positive manner
