Financial Analyst, Employee Benefits
If you love digging into data and are just as energized by explaining what it means, this might be
the role for you. As a Financial Analyst on our Employee Benefits consulting team, you’ll be the
person who turns claims reports, renewal models, and carrier proposals into clear, actionable
guidance for your teammates and for clients.
Job Responsibilities
Claims & Experience Analysis
You’ll keep a close eye on how our clients’ plans are performing — monitoring monthly claims
across medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision, tracking utilization trends, and flagging cost
drivers before they become surprises. You’ll turn that data into clear reports and dashboards for
both internal teams and clients.
Financial Modeling & Forecasting
You’ll build and maintain underwriting and financial models to project renewal costs, explore
plan design alternatives, and support multi-year cost planning. The goal isn’t just accurate
outputs; it’s making sure those outputs are presented in a way that actually helps clients make
decisions.
Market Analysis & Carrier Quoting
You’ll prepare RFPs and underwriting submissions, analyze carrier and stop-loss proposals, and
build the side-by-side comparisons that guide client choices.
Plan Strategy & Risk Review
You’ll contribute data-driven thinking to client strategy conversations by modeling plan design
changes, contribution strategies, and employee cost-sharing scenarios. You’ll help prepare
renewal scenarios that walk clients through the range of outcomes so they can make confident,
informed decisions.
Reporting Innovation & Cross-Team Collaboration
You’ll be part of something exciting: partnering with our internal Data & Engineering Team as
they build software to automate our monthly and quarterly claims reporting. You’ll validate
outputs, flag anomalies, and provide the real-world feedback that shapes the final product.
Team Collaboration & Development
You’ll work closely with Financial Consultants and Account Managers, contributing to the
accuracy and quality of client deliverables. You’ll participate in team knowledge sharing, look for
ways to improve processes, and grow into an even more valuable contributor over time.
