Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Mattel Investor Relations team is responsible for communicating the company’s strategy and financial performance to Wall Street investors and analysts. Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, this is a highly visible role that will work closely with the Company’s CEO & CFO in preparation for quarterly earnings calls, conferences, investor meetings and other events involving the financial community. 

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Develop a strong understanding of Mattel’s strategy, industry and competitive landscape
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a proactive Investor Relations strategy
  • Support preparation and execution of quarterly earnings calls, including development of scripts, press release, slide presentation and Q&A documents
  • Manage workstreams related to production of investor events and presentations
  • Assist with planning and executing investor marketing opportunities including conferences, road shows and meetings
  • Review and analyze sell-side analyst research including financial models and monitor consensus estimates
  • Contribute to regular communications with the senior management team on how Mattel’s stock is performing, investor sentiment, etc.
  • Manage IR website as well as internal databases including contact management system
  • Analyze and identify firms/funds that fit Mattel’s investment profile
  • Support all ad-hoc analysis in support of IR function

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Organized and detail-oriented self-starter who can effectively manage and execute projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Discerning with the ability to both identify critical issues and communicate thoughtful solutions.
  • Minimum 3+ years of corporate work experience.
  • Prior experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, investment management or other finance function is required.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • BA/BS in business, finance or a related field with a quantitative background preferred; MBA and/or CFA a plus.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $98,400 and $115,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
