The Financial Analyst at Houston Methodist is part of the HMPO Physician Compensation Team. The analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing complex data to assess the financial performance of physician practices, preparing reports, and identifying solutions to performance issues. They maintain a database of compensation reviews, provide data to external consulting organizations for benchmarking, and prepare survey responses to support market data development. The analyst collaborates with leadership team to develop and analyze compensation models, support compliance activities, and ensure consistency in methodologies for benchmarking and productivity analysis. They also serve as a resource to leadership team and contribute to new business growth and ad hoc requests through modeling, reporting, and analysis.
At Houston Methodist, the Financial Analyst position is responsible for maintaining and analyzing data related to the financial performance of the assigned entity, hospital(s), and/or contractual relationship. The Analyst is also responsible for compiling and reporting information as requested by Financial Accounting, Internal Audit, Revenue Cycle, their department, and entity management. Responsible for the routine analysis of data, and monthly reporting. The Financial Analyst highlights performance issues, identifies problems and researches solutions. Reports statistical information in graphical and other presentation formats. Other responsibilities may include the assistance with annual operating budgets and maintenance of monthly dashboards of key indicators and external benchmarks.
