Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the foundation’s financial operations and decision-making processes, by providing financial analysis and effectively collaborating with stakeholders. The position performs variance analysis and supports all budget activities to ensure the effective allocation of resources for the achievement of our organizational objectives. The position is a key contributor to the Planning & Analysis team, providing insights and recommendations to enhance fiscal efficiency and sustainability.

· Spending & Variance Analysis – collaborate with departments across all business lines to analyze spending and maintain budgets monthly. Monitor budget adherence and analyze variances, providing detailed explanations for notable differences. Assist work units in developing spending forecasts to ensure the foundation’s resources are appropriately reallocated to fund emerging work priorities. Effectively communicate monthly spending analysis results to management teams and the Chief Financial Officer to facilitate informed strategic decision-making. |

· Planning & Budget Development – support the planning, development and implementation of all operational planning and budget development activities. Prepare and ensure the budgeting system and reporting tools are in place for the annual planning process. Provide training, consultation and support to work units across the foundation to meet organizational standards and procedures during the annual planning and budget process. Execute monthly budget adjustments to align with changes to planned activities. |

· Communication of Financial Data – provide professional, helpful and timely customer support for financial reporting and budgeting/planning tools. Effectively communicate financial data to non-financial audiences. Develop strong relationships with peers and collaborators to understand their goals and needs. |

· Financial Analysis & Forecasting – prepare analysis and forecasts of key data (financial data, performance measurements and outcomes). Analyze, interpret and communicate results to management. Utilize financial models and tools to evaluate the impact of financial decisions on the foundation's operations and goals. |

· Financial & Management Reporting – generate accurate and timely financial reports on a monthly basis. Develop and maintain financial reports for the foundation to support budget development and spending analysis. Translate financial information into clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards for non-financial stakeholders. |

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other related degree is required. · Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role is preferred. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making. Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis. · Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis using spreadsheets and financial management applications. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) are required.· Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial audiences effectively. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. · Demonstrated high level of organizational skills and attention to detail, including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. · Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous quality improvement.· Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).· Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information. · Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, text, and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function. This position is based at our Seattle, Washington Headquarters office. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and the midpoint salary range, $77,945 to $91,700. Placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.

Additionally, employees are eligible to accrue paid time off, starting at 8 hours per month of annual leave and 8 hours of sick time per month in the first year of employment.
