The Opportunity:
Β 
Yesway is seeking a Financial Reporting and Data Analyst within our gas station and convenience store business. We are looking for a candidate who has employee relations and change management experience, is excited to join our team and is passionate about taking a role in a rapidly-growing company.

Β Position Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes financial results by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions;
  • Prepares budget-to-actual variance analysis for review and dissemination to senior management;
  • Develops/modify reports for operations and finance based on changing business needs;
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly general lender reporting schedules and analysis;
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions;
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management;
  • Reconciles transactions and recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data as well as conducting comparative analyses and correcting data as needed;
  • Researches industry trends and best practices; makes recommendations for enhanced reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, data analytics, or related field;
  • Β 2+ years of previous financial data analysis experience required;Β 
  • Experience analyzing from a large pool of data and the ability to manage large volumes of transactions;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines;
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel. (Index-Match, Indirect, Offset, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, Array Formulas, VBA); and
  • Excellent problem solving skills and self-motivated learning abilities.Β

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong statistics background (specifically in generalized linear modeling)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C++);
  • Experience with a data-focused programming language (R, Python, SAS);
  • Experience with machine-learning techniques;
  • Experience building advanced financial models and Monte-Carlo simulations; and
  • Experience with T-SQL and SSRS preferred
