Healthcare COB/PI Data Analyst at Strout
Dallas, TX (Remote) — full-time
The primary responsibility of a Healthcare Coordination of Benefits/Payment Integrity Data Analyst will be to identify COB opportunities by analyzing claims, eligibility, and Medicare payment rules. This role will participate in payer onboarding and mapping enterprise healthcare datasets, writing complex SQL queries, validating data quality and output, and developing ad hoc and operational reports. We are looking for someone who can work independently while collaborating closely with fellow team members and COB Specialists. The ideal candidate takes initiative, meets deadlines, shares knowledge, and continuously looks for opportunities to improve data quality, query efficiency, operational metrics, and client outcomes. Details: Salary: $95,000–$115,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Full-time, Remote (U.S. residents only) Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Analyze complex healthcare datasets to identify payment integrity opportunities. Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with COB Specialists to validate findings and improve processes. Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health informatics, data analytics, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in another discipline with relevant healthcare data experience 3+ years of experience querying and analyzing large healthcare datasets Understanding of health insurance concepts (Coordination of Benefits) Advanced SQL skills Data mapping, validation, auditing, and testing Healthcare data experience including: Claims (Inpatient / Outpatient) , Enrollment, Eligibility, CPT Codes, ICD-10 Codes, Revenue Codes, DRGs Ability to apply complex Medicare payment rules and business logic Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment Strong attention to detail while also seeing the “big picture” Excellent written and verbal communication skills
