Job Summary: The Business Analyst (BA) will serve as a key member of the PMO Department. Leveraging the BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) framework, the BA will gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions, while also providing dedicated quality control and testing oversight for project deliverables. The role supports the Project Management Director.
Essential Functions:
- Defines and clarifies business requirement documents, test scripts, user acceptance testing, risks / issues, and dependencies.
- Partners with Project Managers, to integrate requirements into project plans.
- Elicits, documents, and validates business, stakeholder, and system requirements.
- Works with testing software to expand use and define system requirements.
- Maintains a living requirements repository and traceability matrix.
- Facilitates workshops and interviews with business owners, IT, and operations.
- Maps current state processes and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Designs future state workflows and recommends automation or system enhancements.
- Conducts gap analysis between business needs and existing capabilities.
- Evaluates proposed solutions against business objectives and risk criteria.
- Develops acceptance criteria and test plans in collaboration with project team.
- Supports user acceptance testing (UAT) and sign‑off.
- Defines and enforces quality standards for project deliverables.
- Reviews test cases, defect logs, and resolution metrics.
- Conducts regression and performance testing for critical banking applications.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with business units, IT, compliance, and external vendors.
- Contributes to the development of PMO processes, templates, and toolsets.
- Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information.
