Position Summary
The IT Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Information Technology team, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with business departments, including Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance, Customer Service, and IT, to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of enterprise applications and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and process reviews to gather and document business requirements.
- Develop detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements through technology and automation.
Project Management & Solution Delivery
- Participate in IT projects from initiation through deployment and post-implementation support.
- Assist in project planning, scope definition, risk assessment, and resource coordination.
- Work with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure successful solution implementation.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and deployment activities.
Enterprise Systems Support
- Support and optimize ERP, MRP, CRM, WMS, EDI, and other business applications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for system functionality and business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, reporting, and system performance.
- Production support
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze business data to identify trends, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making.
- Work with database administrators and developers to define reporting requirements.
Change Management & Training
- Develop user documentation, process guides, and training materials.
- Conduct end-user training and support management initiative
