Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Windows-based software (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills and persistence in problem solving
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
  • Experience in research or data entry a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to the financial industry, banking, and/or capital markets a plus
  • Familiarity with sanctions, terrorist financing, and other financial crime methodologies a plus
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt to a changing environment, and prioritize tasks accordingly

  • Students studying towards a Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations/Business, or related fields
  • Graduation date of June 2026 โ€“ June 2027
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025

Responsibilities

The Summer Associate will assist the Core Data Operations team with data curation and administrative work to support the Grid database.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide general data analysis, research, and reporting for the Grid database.ย  This may include data entry, curation of profiles, and completion of data quality projects.ย  The intern will work as part of the Grid Core Data team, providing accountable and transparent profiles, data, and reporting.
  • Assist and support stakeholders with questions about data scope, coverage, quality, and sourcing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: The intern will need to collaborate effectively with other members of Data Operations, onshore and offshore partners, and stakeholders in other parts of the organization.
  • Documentation: The intern will need to document their findings to ensure reproducibility and transparency. This also aids in knowledge transfer and continuity of work.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June โ€“ August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35.
