Position Summary
One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist (Data Analyst), you are responsible for leading performance improvement projects with a team of technicians. You’ll utilize problem solving techniques such as DMAIC, Six Sigma, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dye), and Lean manufacturing methodologies. You’ll analyze current data and identify performance improvement project opportunities.
- Identify and eliminate losses during ongoing operations
- Build problem solving capability within full factory team
- Prevent top losses on factory equipment and processes
- Conduct data analysis using digital tracking tools to identify opportunities for loss reduction
- Identify root causes for packaging and ingredient variances to reduce waste
- Participate in Focused Improvement Pillar team
Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 4+ years of operational experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment
Salary: $74,969.10 to $100,552.00 per year
