Team Overview:


At Masterworks, we invest heavily in marketing each month to attract new users. Our campaign managers and analysts collaborate to analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and strategize effectively. Due to the unique nature of our business, our marketing performance metrics are complex. Evaluating ad performance will involve distilling this complexity into clear KPIs, forecasts, goals, and reports.


Position Overview:


We are looking for a motivated and competent Marketing Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to our Director of Marketing Analytics. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, methodical, and comes from a background in data science, statistics, and/or computer science. You should be comfortable with tasks ranging from discussing the statistical significance of A/B experiments to creating reports using SQL queries and Python scripts. An eagerness to learn and develop a deep understanding of our systems and vendors, particularly ad platforms, is also highly valued.



Responsibilities:


  • You will be a key stakeholder for campaign managers on the marketing team.
  • You’re able to effectively communicate insights clearly, and can comprehend analytics requests from stakeholders.
  • QAing dashboards and data sources every morning in case of breakages. QAing new data sources to ensure there are no discrepancies or missing records.
  • Creating and editing dashboards to represent critical business trends.
  • Owning analyses for the marketing team. Some example analyses include: determining traits of high net worth individuals, calculating performance metrics for each marketing channel, and analyzing creative AB tests.


Requirements and Skill Sets:


  • Degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or similar (post-secondary degree or equivalent experience preferred)
  • 2+ years relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency with SQL, familiarity with Python or similar scripting language, familiarity with command line git
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment on a lean team
  • Extremely high attention to detail and a knack for getting to the root of inaccuracies
  • High motivation to learn new skills
  • Knowledge of DBT (data build table) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ad platforms like Meta and Google is also a plus.

  • Must be able to work in our NYC office - not a remote role

How does Masterworks think about compensation?


The compensation range for the role is $70,000-90,000 (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
