Marketing AnalystJob DescriptionThe Marketing Analyst, or Marketing Data Analyst, will be responsible for researching and understanding industry trends and marketing best practices relevant to assigned clientsβ recruitment needs. This involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics for paid and organic marketing campaigns.Β Supervisory Responsibilities- The Marketing Analyst position does not supervise other employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build client relationships and demonstrate subject matter expertise to establish trust.
- Develop a deep understanding of clientsβ mission, vision, industry, and recruitment goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of clientsβ data tracking and reporting requirements and collaborate on improving efficiencies across all facets of such requirements.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, the Media Team, the Strategy, Research and Analytics Team, and Creative Directors to recommend optimal placements, target audience, and strategies for marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and report web and marketing metrics; interpret data and report recommendations.
- Work with the Senior Marketing Analyst to develop After Action reports for marketing campaigns and events, as well as periodic metrics reports for clients.
- Remain keenly attuned to market trends and best practices.
- Gather and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods.
- Utilize online market research and catalog findings to databases.
- Provide other support (data gathering, reporting, etc.) as needed or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong ability to work with large datasets and databases.
- Strong ability to apply data visualization skills to effectively communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to conduct industry/market/consumer research, then analyze and apply new knowledge to clientsβ projects.
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills to challenging situations.
- Ability to work with a team and independently to accomplish tasks in a timely fashion.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines.
Education & Experience
- BachelorsΒ degree in marketing, data management/science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8Β yearsβ experience as a marketing/data analyst or related field.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing and mining. Knowledge of data visualization is a plus.
- Expertise with PowerPoint, Word, and/or other applications used to communicate and report.
