ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision, this position will:
- Create, utilize, and analyze complex financial models that require an understanding of the natural gas firm transportation and natural gas liquids portfolio, discounted cash flows, corporate finance, accounting, and project economics (NPV, IRR, Payback, etc.), to produce presentable results used by the team for management review.
- Structure various aspects of commercial deal terms for new and existing commodity transactions, construct detailed analysis, competitor comparisons, and understanding of business environment.
- Create term sheets that accurately represent the financial model, project proposals, and contractual commitments.
- Create formal presentations for projects that include financial information, project risks, volume, and commercial terms.
- Use various tools to forecast weather and market trends to help management with decisions that impact the price, supplies, planning, etc.
- Interact with several disciplines and functional groups across the Company, analyzing and structuring commercial deal terms.
- Interface with the finance department to assist with long-term marketing outlooks.
- Design internal system of controls to run Mark to Market (MTM) assumptions on existing trades, pipeline capacity, potential trades, and the reconciliation on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Work with the scheduling department to understand and develop new strategies to ensure all sales obligations are met.
- Develop automated processes to build and generate Profit and Loss (PNL) statements and other reports, and internal systems and software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Field of Study: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Business, or related field of study.
- At least one (1) year of financial analysis, risk analysis, or business analysis experience.
- At least one (1) year of experience in the oil and gas or natural gas industry.
