LYNX — Central Florida’s Regional Transportation Authority — is looking for a detail‑driven, analytical, tech‑savvy Planning Data Specialist to support mission‑critical planning datasets that help us deliver safe, clean, reliable transportation to over 2 million residents across Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties.
🔍 What You’ll Do
Perform daily quality reviews of fare system data to ensure accurate ridership and revenue assignment by route
Assist in preparing performance reports for LYNX Leadership and Board of Directors
Compile data for National Transit Database (NTD) reporting
Develop and execute processes to improve data integrity across LYNX systems
Manage GIS installations, maintenance, and administration; create and maintain ArcGIS datasets and presentational maps
Support cross‑departmental data integration (Asset Management, routing & scheduling systems, CAD/AVL)
Develop and maintain data visualization tools to make planning data accessible to internal and external stakeholders
🎯 What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Public/Business Administration, or related field + 3 years’ experience with data analysis or ArcGIS (additional years of experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis)
Valid Florida driver’s license with safe driving record
Strong knowledge of databases, mapping software integration, ArcGIS Desktop/Online, Microsoft Office, and data analysis methods
Excellent communication, time‑management, and attention to detail
Ability to work in a diverse environment and maintain positive working relationships while providing excellent customer service
Desired: GIS Professional Certificate, experience with Tableau/Power BI/ArcGIS visualization suites
