The Pricing Analyst is responsible for driving profitable growth through pricing strategy, commercial analytics, and process improvement. This role blends financial analysis, market awareness, and business partnership to influence pricing decisions across the Mactac organization.
The ideal candidate is proactive, intellectually curious, and comfortable challenging existing processes to improve outcomes. This individual will not simply execute pricing requests but will identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and support commercial decision-making through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparing and managing pricing quotations and maintaining pricing integrity across systems and processes.
- Analyzing pricing performance, customer profitability, margin trends, and quote outcomes to identify opportunities.
- Providing recommendations that support profitable growth and commercial objectives.
- Translating business data into actionable insights for Sales, Marketing, and leadership.
- Evaluating pricing requests considering market conditions, business strategy, and long-term profitability.
- Maintaining pricing systems, controls, documentation, and historical records.
- Supporting contract pricing administration and pricing updates.
- Leading the coordination for major bids and cross-functional pricing initiatives.
- Developing and improving reporting related to sales, forecasting, profitability, and commercial analytics.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization and pricing-related business initiatives.
- Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and R&D.
- Performing market research and monitoring industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Analytics or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience is required. Relevant experience includes prior work in areas such as pricing, analytics, finance, business analysis, product management, marketing, sales operations or related roles.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate data into recommendations and influence decisions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced skills with Excel.
- Prior experience with data reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI and SQL is preferred.
