General Definition of Work:
The Data Specialist provides administrative and data management support for the Adult and Career Education of central Virginia (Ace of Central VA) Adult Education Program. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry, mainenance, and reporting of student and program datat using the LACES data management system. The position also provides general office support and assist staff in maintaining program records in compliance with state and federal reporting requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain student demographic, attendance, assessment, and outcome data in the LACES data management system.
- Review records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements.
- Generate routine reports and assist with state and federal data reporting and audits.
- maintain confidential student files and records in accordance with applicable privace regulations.
- Assit instructors and program staff with data collectiion, documentation, and LACES support and training.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, greet visitors, and provide general administrative support for the RPM.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, purchase orders, and other program documents.
- Schedule appointments, meeting and trainings sessions as needed.
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
